Langhe Nebbiolo Prinsiot 2020 Fratelli Alessandria
Langhe Nebbiolo Prinsiot 2020 is a red wine from Piedmont produced by the Fratelli Alessandria winery.
It is made from Nebbiolo grapes from vines over 10 years old that are cultivated in about one hectare of vineyard in three plots in the municipality of Verduno: Neirane, Pisapola and Sotto Orti, growing on clay, sandy and calcareous soils.
To make Nebbiolo "Prinsiòt" the grapes are hand-picked and carefully selected, the must ferments spontaneously with only indigenous yeasts in steel, with maceration on the skins for 7-9 days.
After fermentation, the wine matures in French oak barrels for 10 months, plus a further 2-3 months in steel. The Nebbiolo "Prinsiòt" 2020 Fratelli Alessandria has a typical ruby red colour with garnet hues.
The nose opens with notes of wilted flowers and black cherries in syrup, then veers towards roasted aromas of coffee and sweet spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg. The taste is structured and balanced by a nice freshness, present tannin and a remarkable persistence on the finish.
