Domaine Arnoux Lachaux produces this fine Burgundy wine Nuits Saint Georges 1er Cru Clos des Corvées Pagets 2015, a red wine of great quality and elegance. The pinot noir grapes come from the Clos des Corvées Paget, one of the twelve Premier crus of the Nuits-Saint-Georges appellation located in the commune of Prémeaux.
It covers about 1.5 hectares and its name comes from the word "corvée", which indicated worked land in the Middle Ages, and the name of the owner of the climat, Paget. It comprises five parcels located between the Clos des Corvées and the Clos Saint-Marc, characterised by rather deep, yellowish-brown soil. The vines face south-east at an altitude of 235-255 metres.
The Nuits Saint Georges 1er Cru Clos des Corvées Pagets 2015 from Arnoux-Lachaux is a wine of incredible value and elegance, very refined on the nose where it expresses fruity notes of small red fruits and freshly cut grass. The sip is structured but very refined, with a silky tannic texture and elegant spiciness. Good even if drunk now, it will be able to express all its capabilities at its best after years of bottle ageing.
