Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Pruliers 2019 David Duband
Domaine David Duband's 2019 Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Pruliers is made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes from vineyards around 25 years old from clay and stone soils. The grapes are harvested strictly by hand, selected and vinified with 80% whole bunches for about 2 weeks.
After fermentation, the grapes are pressed and the wine is racked 40% into new barrels and 60% into first, second and third passage barrels. After 14 months of ageing, the wines are racked into vats, where they settle for about 3 months before being bottled without filtration or ageing.
David Duband's 2019 Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Pruliers expresses a ruby red colour with purple highlights to the eye. The nose is fresh and delicate with predominant blackcurrant and blueberry fruit, while the sip is rich and enveloping, with tannins present and a long, creamy finish.
