Nuits-Saint-Georges 2019 David Duband
Domaine David Duband's 2019 Nuits-Saint-Georges is made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes from vineyards around 50 years old from limestone marl soils. The grapes are harvested strictly by hand, selected and vinified with 80% whole bunches for about 2 weeks.
After fermentation, the grapes are pressed and the wine is racked 40% into new barrels and 60% into first, second and third passage barrels. After 14 months of ageing, the wines are racked into vats, where they settle for about 3 months before being bottled without filtration or ageing.
David Duband's Nuits-Saint-Georges 2019 expresses a bright ruby red colour to the eye. The nose offers aromas of strawberry and other red fruits, flowers and white pepper, for a rich and balanced sip, with lovely tannin.
