Nuits St Georges "Les Damodes" 2019 Domaine Ballorin
Nuits St Georges Les Damodes 2019 is a Burgundy red wine produced using natural methods by Domaine Ballorin. It is made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes from the "Les Damodes" vineyard, located in the commune of Nuits-Saint-Georges, from plants about 45 years old growing on clay-limestone soil.
The grapes are harvested by hand, while fermentation takes place spontaneously in cement and fibreglass vats. Domaine Ballorin et Fils' "Les Damodes" then matures in new barrels for 12 months with a minimal addition of sulphur at bottling.
Domaine Ballorin's Cote de Nuits Villages Le Village is a fresh, mouth-watering and fruity red wine. The nose has fruity hints of raspberry and small berries against a spicy and mineral background. The taste is medium-bodied, very refined and soft with silky tannins and a savoury finish. It is a wine with good acidity and great elegance, capable of expressing itself at its best after a few years of refinement in the bottle.
