Palo Blanco 2019 Envinate
Palo Blanco 2019 is a white wine produced by the Canary Islands winery Envinate. It is made from 100% Listan Blanc grapes, an indigenous variety grown in the Orotava Valley, at an altitude of 600 metres, on volcanic soil rich in mineral salts.
The grapes, which come from centuries-old vines, are cultivated according to sustainable principles that include a ban on the use of chemicals and minimal intervention: starting with the manual harvesting of the grapes and subsequent pressing, as tradition dictates, strictly with the feet. Fermentation takes place spontaneously using only indigenous yeasts in large 2,500-litre oak casks for a period of 10 months.
Intense straw yellow in colour, Envinate's Palo Blanco 2019 expresses a strongly mineral nose accompanied by hints of yellow fruit, citrus and cut grass, for a savoury sip with a meaty finish.
