Pinot Bianco 2021 Bastianich
Pinot Bianco 2021 is a white wine from Friuli Venezia Giulia produced by the Bastianich winery. Pinot Bianco, a grape variety famous for producing elegant and delicate white wines, is confirmed in this Bastiach label and is complemented by a nice dose of freshness conferred by the terroir.
The grapes come from 15- to 40-year-old vines located in the hilly areas of Premariacco and Cividale del Friuli, with southern, south-eastern and north-eastern exposures, on Eocene marl soils with a limestone base, the famous ponca friulana, rich in mineral salts.
The vineyards are located between 120 and 180 metres above sea level. The alps protect the vineyards from the cold winds from the Alps, and the Mediterranean heat is mitigated by the breezes coming up from the Adriatic Sea. Following the harvest, fermentation takes place in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 16-18 °C for 15-20 days.
Before bottling, the wine matures for four months on the lees in steel, and then rests 30 days in the bottle before release. Bastianich's Pinot Bianco 2021 is a perfect blend of elegance and freshness: pale straw yellow in colour, it expresses on the nose delicate aromas of white flowers and white and yellow fruits, for a fresh, medium-bodied sip, enlivened by a nice dose of freshness that is never invasive.
