Founders Reserve Port Sandeman
Sandeman's Founders Reserve Port is a work of wine art from the prestigious Douro region of Portugal. This port is made with traditional Douro grapes, mainly Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, and Tinta Roriz, carefully selected and hand-picked.
The production of this port follows a long and respected tradition. The grapes are pressed at the foot in granite "lagares", thus preserving their unique character. After fermentation, the wine fortified with the addition of brandy is aged in wooden barrels for several years. This aging process gives Founders Reserve Port its complexity, depth and aromatic nuances.
The organoleptic characteristics of this port are extraordinary. On the nose, aromas of red fruit, dried plum, spices and woody notes emerge. In the mouth, it is rich and enveloping, with flavors of black cherry, dark chocolate and a touch of toasted hazelnuts. The sweetness is perfectly balanced by the fresh acidity, creating a harmonious balance. The finish is long and persistent, inviting further sips.
