Prélude 2021 Domaine de Trivel
Domaine de Trivel's Prélude is made from Chenin Blanc grapes sourced from several of the winery's estate vineyards grown on sandy loam and shale soils. The vines are on average at least 40 years old and are cultivated according to the principles of organic viticulture, for which the Domaine is certified.
The rule of minimum intervention applies in the vineyard, excluding all chemical products. After manual harvesting, the grapes are taken to the winery where they undergo a long pressing of about 6 hours. Fermentation occurs spontaneously through indigenous yeasts, and the must undergoes neither pumping over nor punching down. After racking it is left to age for 5 months in wooden vats.
A light filtration is done before bottling.
Prélude has a beautiful fruity nose and the freshness typical of Chenin Blancs from the region. It is a dry, mouth-watering and generous wine that will wonderfully accompany your quiches, white meats and fish.
