Chivas Regal Imperial 18 Years Old
Chivas Regal Imperial 18 Years Old is a blended Scotch whiskey of exceptional quality, the result of a carefully selected blend of fine whiskies matured for at least 18 years. This blending masterpiece was created by Master Blender Colin Scott, who personally selected the casks in which this precious nectar matured, ensuring the excellence of each and every bottle. In recognition of his work, Scott's initials are on each bottle.
Chivas Regal, renowned for its history spanning more than 200 years, is the premium Scotch Whisky par excellence. The origins of this legendary whiskey date back to 1801, when brothers James and John Chivas started their business in Aberdeen, Scotland. Their specialization in blending whiskies resulted in a high-quality product that, in 1843, received the Royal Warrant from Queen Victoria, a hallmark of its excellence.
Chivas Regal Imperial 18 Years Old is the result of a skillful blending of more than forty of Scotland's finest malts and grain whiskies, mostly from the Speyside region. This area of Scotland, characterized by a mild microclimate and fertile soils, is famous for its elegant, smooth and rich malts. Notable among these are those from the Strathisla distillery, the oldest still operating in the Highlands since 1786, and Longmorn, whose 18-year-old is reserved exclusively for Chivas.
The organoleptic characteristics of this whiskey are extraordinary: the dark golden color introduces a complex and enveloping aromatic bouquet, with notes of dark chocolate, candied orange, and sweet spices. On the palate, Chivas Regal Imperial 18 Years Old reveals itself to be rich and velvety, with flavors of dried fruit, vanilla, and a light smokiness, culminating in a long, lingering finish, characterized by a pleasant sweetness and a subtle hint of spice.
