Agnanum, authentic wines from Campania

Agnanum is a Campanian winery, a small family business where "heroic viticulture" is practiced, where vineyards are located in impervious positions and the work is difficult. The winery is located in Campania, in particular the vineyards are located on volcanic hills of the green oasis of Astroni Natural Park, where four hectares of vineyards are cultivated along a black sandy soil and placed on steep and narrow terraces.

In this unique and very particular terroir, about half of the hectares of vineyards are cultivated with Piedirosso and half with Falaghina, ancient autochthonous varieties of the area. Today the winery is run by Raffaele Moccia, who proudly and passionately carries on the work he inherited from his father Gennaro, who started creating the vineyard in 1960.

Raffaele succeeded in adding to the historical two hundred years old vineyard, another hectare of land he cultivates respecting low yields and late harvesting, which together with low interventions in the cellar ensure the production of special bottles, with unique characteristics and capable of telling in an authentic way the terroir of origin.
