The significant presence of tuffeau, a porous and chalky limestone also used in much of the Renaissance architecture of the Loire, imparts finely delineated mineral notes to Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc. Clay and sand, also present in the terroir, contribute to diversity, providing body to the reds and richness to the whites. The year 2017 marked an exciting moment for enthusiasts of Arnaud's wines when he unified his cuvées from Brézé (20 ha) and Saint Cyr en Bourg (20 ha) under a single label: Domaine Arnaud Lambert. The wines from Saint Cyr come from Domaine Saint-Just, founded by Arnaud's father, Yves, in 1996. The father-son collaboration began in 2005, and in 2009, they took over the management of the vineyard of Château de Brézé. Both embraced organic farming in 2009, receiving certification in 2012. This decision was driven by the desire to express the terroir of each Clos in its purest and most vibrant form.
