Natural wines from casa Lucciola

The Casa Lucciola winery is a small family-run winery in the Marche region, located in Matelica, focused on the production of Verdicchio di Matelica DOC. The winery has been certified organic since 1998 and has been practicing biodynamic agriculture since 2014. In fact, their business philosophy is centered on the preservation of the environment and the fertility of the land, which is the first responsibility and the true legacy that should be passed on from generation to generation to whoever works the land.

The house and the winery are surrounded by the vineyard which includes 4 hectares of vineyards with south-west exposure, located on a hill at about 430 meters above sea level in Casalucciola, in the heart of Verdicchio di Matelica in the province of Macerata, in the Marche region. It enjoys a beautiful view over the wide valley of Matelica and the surrounding hills, in an almost continental microclimate with strong thermal excursions between day and night. Here the soil is mainly clayey, alkaline and rich in mineral salts.

Every step in the process, both in the vineyard and in the cellar, is aimed at letting Nature take its course, trying to intervene as little as possible and to produce wines which are genuine and authentic, and which are able to tell the story of the territory and of each vintage in a different way.
