BERNARD MOREAU
Bernard Moreau vini bianchi di Borgogna
Domaine Bernard Moreau is located in the heart of Chassagne-Montrachet, in Burgundy, and is one of the major representatives of this denomination.
Since 1982, replacing his father, after 4 times the talented and visionary Bernard has led the operation with the help of his sons Alexandre and Benoit, who after several work experiences decided to return home in 1995 and 1999. Domaine includes 14 hectares of vineyards spread over 13 different denominations located in the municipalities of Chassagne-Montrachet and Saint-Aubin.
The company philosophy is based on safeguarding the territory through meticulous work in the vineyard and in the cellar where the interventions are minimal, because as Bernard himself says, the wines must not be touched to best express the original characteristics of the territory to which they belong. Thus, it produces 60% of white wines and 40% of red wines, through plowing and the control of yields to obtain in force in an integral and intact way. The work then continues in the cellar, with the same attention. After aging for 12 to 18 months, the wines are ready to be bottled to give labels that reflect the territory of origin in an integrated and excellent way.
This work has allowed the Domaine Bernard Moreau to be recognized as one of the most influential realities of Chassagne- Montrachet denomination.
