The Domaine Caroline Morey rises in the extraordinary territory of Chassagne-Montrachet, one of the most renowned villages of Burgundy, the cradle of legendary white wines. Here Caroline Morey, a talented producer from a family of vignerons, passionately carries on the family tradition by crafting refined, top-quality artisanal wines.

After learning the secrets of ancient Burgundian viticulture from her father, in 2014 Caroline started her own business, managing some prime family-owned vineyards. The small estate extends over just a few hectares, divided into several small parcels located in the most suitable areas of Chassagne-Montrachet, Santenay and Beaune.

The vineyards, of extraordinary quality, are tended with utmost care following the tenets of traditional viticulture: high plant density, low yields per hectare and Guyot pruning to encourage quality grapes. The limestone-clay terroir and the steep, south-east facing slopes provide ideal conditions for Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, which express their full aromatic potential here.

Harvest is by hand, with meticulous cluster selection. Vinifications are parcel-based, enhancing the specificities of each vineyard. Spontaneous fermentations, maturation in wood and no filtering preserve the integrity and expressiveness of the wines. The result are Burgundy wines with an authentic character, that reflect the identity of the terroir and the artisanal dedication of Caroline Morey.
