Michel Chapoutier took over the reins of the family business at the age of 26, whose origins date back to 1808, with the establishment of a small wine production company in the Rhone Valley region. Today the company includes 360 total hectares plus other possessions around the world (Portugal, Australia and the United States). Michel, endowed with a great passion and entrepreneurial spirit, deserves credit for having completely revolutionized the company, converting all the production steps to the principles of biodynamic agriculture. Its production philosophy is centered on respect for the terroir and for the enhancement of it, through wines. Each bottle represents the territory of origin which is worked and enhanced individually. Michel Chapoutier's wines have been known for over 20 years and appreciated by international critics for their great quality. Just think that with the 2015 vintage alone, 9 wines of the company have been awarded by Robert Parker with the maximum rating of 100/100. The result of an intense and lasting work, has placed the Domaine Chapoutier at the top of the international ranking, bringing its wines to be appreciated by palates all over the world.
