CHATEAU DE ROQUEFORT
Château Roquefort, unique wines from Provence
Château Roquefort is a French winery in Provence, in a very special wild setting, where the vines grow at high altitudes enjoying a cool climate that gives the grapes acidity. Here, after several family generations, Raimond de Villeneuve passionately cultivates the 27 hectares of vineyards according to organic farming principles.
The soils in this area are composed of clay and limestone, and the influence of the sea creates a temperate microclimate, which guarantees a greater freshness and good ripeness of the grapes, to which Raimond pays particular attention in order to encourage greater complexity in the wines. The main grape varieties grown are the traditional ones of Provence: Grenache Noir, Syrah, Cinsault, Mourvèdre, Carignan, Clairette, Rolle and Ugni Blanc.
Raimond and his faithful José work with an eye for balance and respect for nature, which has led to a production of bottles of great elegance and quality, including the following wines: the red "Les Mures", the white "Petit Salé" and the rosé "Corail". These are unique wines, often different from year to year.
