CIACCI PICCOLOMINI D'ARAGONA
Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona, authentic wines from Montalcino
Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona is a Tuscan estate in Montalcino. Of very ancient origins, it is now run by the owners Paolo and Lucia Bianchini, and extends over about fifty hectares of vineyards, which are located near the Orcia river, with excellent south-west exposure, at an altitude that varies between 240 and 360 metres above sea level. The company's philosophy is based on a combination of the area's farming traditions and technological development, with great attention paid to all phases of production.
The most widely cultivated vine is Sangiovese Grosso, the type of Sangiovese typical of the Montalcino area, which grows in the vineyards of the Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona estate on very suitable soils and with great attention paid to respect for the environment. Currently, the Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona Estate has three cellars: one is where the finest bottles are left to age, the second is the official headquarters of the company where vinification takes place and where the administrative offices and shop for the sale and tasting of wines are located.
Finally, there is a recently acquired cellar, where the new "Montecucco Sangiovese" denomination of origin is produced. The entire range of Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona, from Rosso di Montalcino to Brunello and distillates, includes elegant and refined wines, produced with innovative techniques but able to tell the story of the traditions of the territory they belong to.
