Franco Conterno, fine wines from Piedmont

The Franco Conterno winery is based in Cascina Sciulun, a building constructed in the mid-1800s in the hamlet of Bussia di Monforte d'Alba, and comprises 18 hectares of vineyards located in the municipalities of Monforte, Barolo, Castiglione Falletto, Novello and Madonna di Como.

The vineyards, which consist mainly of sand, silt and clay, are located at an altitude of between 250 and 400 metres above sea level and enjoy an excellent south and south-west exposure. The winery's philosophy is based on organic farming principles, both in terms of vineyard management, where the aim is to obtain healthy and expressive grapes using only copper and sulphur, without any chemical products.

The same applies in the cellar, where great attention is paid to every stage of the production process, especially to ageing, where steel and wood contribute to forming the different souls of the wines produced. The wines in Franco Conterno's range are authentic and living expressions of their terroir: reds and whites, plus a rosé, that express different denominations of origin among the most characteristic of the entire Piedmontese terroir, always in search of the highest quality and elegance.
