DELOUVIN NOWACK
Delouvin Novack, authentic Champagne from Pinot Meunier
Delouvin Novack is a Champagne producer, specifically from the village of Vandières in the Vallée de la Marne, a beautiful area where the vineyards slope down to the river and where Pinot Meunier is the absolute protagonist. The Delouvin family has been involved in wine for many generations, as far back as 1500, while they began marketing champagne in 1949;
Today the company has 7 hectares of vines and is managed by Geoffrey Delouvin, a veteran of oenological studies in Alsace and work experience in cellars all over the world (including New Zealand and Australia), who has taken over the reins of the family business just over two years ago and is trying to carry on a work that aims to combine tradition and innovation. Eighty per cent of the vineyards are planted with Pinot Meunier from Vandières, which is considered the common Grand Cru of this variety.
Indeed, this area better than any other in the Vallée de la Marne manages to express sapidity and minerality. Geoffrey's work is careful and precise, aimed at obtaining the highest quality of his Champagnes, very pleasant bottles that meet with the approval of many tasters thanks to the particularity of pure Meunier vinified in a simple way, without artifice or excess.
