DENIS SALOMON
Denis Salomon, young talent of Champagne
Denis Salomon's is a family business located in the heart of the Marne valley, in Vandières. The estate covers 4.8 hectares of vines divided into 22 parcels, the most important of which are located in Chenovières, where the oldest vines are to be found and where the pure Meunier is grown.
The Domaine was founded by Denis Salomon in 1974, and today it is his son Nicolas who, in the fifth generation of the family and after working in Bordeaux, has been at the helm since 2004. The estate's vineyards, which are spread out over sunny, south-facing slopes, grow on soils composed essentially of marl, where Pinot Meunier has its home.
In fact, 70% Pinot Menunier, 13% Chardonnay and 16% Pinot Noir are grown here, plus small percentages of minor varieties. The company's philosophy is based on the combination of tradition and innovation and is carried forward with passion and creativity by Nicolas, winner of the Jeune Talent du Champagne, a competition that rewards talent and innovation in this field.
Today they produce around 34,000 bottles a year for a wide range of Champagne to suit all tastes.
