DOMAINE CLAUDE DUGAT
Domaine Claude Dugat, excellence of Burgundy
Domaine Claude Dugat is a Burgundy winery located in the village of Gevrey-Chambertin, a reference in this appellation. Founded in 1955, it is still run by Claude and Marie-Thérèse and their three children, Bertrand, Laetitia and Jeanne.
The estate consists of six hectares of vines cultivated according to the principles of biodynamic agriculture, which include ploughing on horseback, a ban on the use of chemical substances and the search for full maturity of the grapes, always paying close attention to each production step.
In the cellar, the grapes are fermented in cement tanks and the wines are usually aged in oak barrels for a minimum of 12 months and then bottled without filtration. Its wines are characterised by great finesse and elegance, as for example the Gevrey-Chambertin Villages of Claude Dugat, a wine particularly seductive to the nose, intense, deep and of extraordinary silkiness.
