DOMAINE DE LA GRANGE DES PERES
Domaine de la Grange des Pères is a winery located in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of southern France. Founded in 1992 by Laurent Vaillé, it quickly became famous for its high-quality wines and unique approach to viticulture.
The story of Domaine de la Grange des Pères began when Laurent Vaillé, a former wine merchant, decided to buy an old abandoned farm in the Languedoc-Roussillon region. With the help of his friend François Chidaine, a famous Loire wine producer, Laurent started to clean up the property and plant new vines.
Laurent has always had a very precise production philosophy: to produce high-quality wines using only high-quality grapes and following an approach that is as natural as possible. For this reason, the vines at Domaine de la Grange des Pères are cultivated without the use of synthetic chemicals, and yields are kept very low to ensure a greater concentration of aromas and flavours.
The vineyards of Domaine de la Grange des Pères are located on clay and limestone soils, which give the wines great aromatic complexity and good acidity. Laurent mainly cultivates local varieties such as Syrah, Mourvèdre, Grenache and Carignan, but has also planted some international varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay.
Laurent Vaillé is a highly respected oenologist in the wine world, and his wines are highly regarded both in France and abroad. Production at Domaine de la Grange des Pères is limited to about 10,000 bottles per year, and each bottle is produced with the utmost care and attention to detail. The wines of Domaine de la Grange des Pères are known for their great complexity, elegance and their ability to age for many years.
Their production philosophy is based on growing high-quality grapes as naturally as possible, and their wines are the result of great attention to detail and care.
