Domaine Françoise Lamarche, the excellence of Vosne-Romanée

Domaine Lamarche is a family-owned business located in one of the most prestigious areas of the Côte d'Or in Burgundy, Vosne-Romanée, which includes as many as 14 Climat classified as Premier Cru and the legendary Grand Cru such as: Romanée-Conti, Romanée Saint-Vivant, La Romanée, La Tâche, La Grande Rue, Richebourg, Échezeaux et Grands-Échezeaux.

The Lamarche estate has a total of 11 hectares of vines which are now managed by Nicole according to organic principles with great care and respect for the environment. The yields are very low, allowing us to obtain grapes of great quality and aromatic concentration. Vinification is traditional and the wine is aged in French oak barrels with a maximum use of 50% new wood. The vines grow on shallow soils rich in limestone, with the presence of calcareous and clayey marls particularly suited to the cultivation of Pinot Noir.

As is often the case in Burgundy, Domaine Lamarche has grown over time with the acquisition of many small parcels scattered in different areas, but the real jewel of the family is the single parcel "La Grande Rue", which is located between the Grand Cru vineyards of Romanée-Conti, La Romanée and La Tâche. Other prestigious vineyards can be found in the fine Grand Cru terroirs of Grands-Échezeaux, Échezeaux, Clos de Vougeot and in the Premier Cru: Vosne Romanée, Les Malconsorts, Les Suchots, Les Chaumes, La Croix Rameau and Les Cras.
