Eduardo Torres Acosta is a young Spanish oenologist who started producing Sicilian wines on Etna, after his experience on the Canary Islands, in the small vineyard of his father, a letter carrier in Tenerife.

In 2012 he moved to Sicily where he started his Italian experience in Vittoria, at Arianna Occhipinti's winery and, after a second experience as an oenologist in Passopisciaro, in 2014 he decided to set up his own business and start producing his Sicilian wines.

His production begins by taking care of and enhancing and vinifying separately a plot of 2 hectares of land rented on the north side of Etna, in the districts Pietramarina, Allegracore and Sciaranuova at different altitudes and on different types of land.

The Sicilian wines of Edoardo Torres Acosta are born in the vineyard, his philosophy is based on a maniacal attention to the land, where no chemical fertilizers are used, but only copper and sulfur, the only intervention on the plants is the winter pruning, the rest is done by the climate of the volcano.

In the cellar we follow the same tricks that are applied in the vineyard, the wine ferments spontaneously with only indigenous yeasts and then left to mature in oak and cement barrels.

The natural Sicilian wines of Edoardo Torres Acosta are really a nice surprise, between a sip and another of his precious wine you can find all the terroir of Sicily and Etna, and see a bright future for this young producer.
