ENVINATE
Envinate, brave spanish wines
Evinate is a Spanish winery in the region of Galicia. The company was founded in 2005 by four oenologist friends who met at the University of Miguel Hernandez in Alicante: Roberto Santana, Alfonso Torrente, Laura Ramos and José Martinez.
Initially, they formed a winemaking consultancy, which then turned into the Envinate winery: a project based on the sustainable cultivation of indigenous varieties that are an authentic expression of the terroir and the true character of the grapes.
Thus no chemicals are used in the Envinate vineyards, the harvest is strictly manual, the grapes are trodden with the feet and the wines are fermented spontaneously with indigenous yeasts. The company comprises many small plots in Ribeira Sacra (Galicia), Almansa (a region in the south-east of the Iberian Peninsula) and Tenerife.
