FACCOLI LORENZO

The Faccoli company was born in the heart of Franciacorta, in Coccaglio, on the slopes of Mount Orfano in 1963 when Lorenzo, the grandfather of the current owners, bought a farm not served with light and water. In that year Lorenzo began producing his wine which he sold in barrels. Later he planted fruit trees and planted the vineyards of Chardonnay and Pinot Bianco following the recommendations of the new Franciacorta DOC. The real change comes in 1983 when Lorenzo decides to focus on bubbles, and Gian Mario and Claudio, Lorenzo's sons, start working in the company. Until 1989 they produce both still and sparkling wines, but given the few income they decide to change strategy and since the year 2000 the Faccoli brothers produce only bubbles. In 2002 the first Zero Dosage is released. Today the company produces 50,000 bottles of Franciacorta per year in the types Rosè brut, Extra Brut, Brut, Dosaggio Zero and Millesimato 10 Anni. Their philosophy is to transfer their work, the vintage and the fruit of the grape to their Franciacorta wines. The work in the vineyard is manic while in the cellar it is preferred to use only steel containers without any passage in wood and to use low sugar dosages for the liquer d 'expedition. The bubble must be the maximum exaltation of the wine itself. Dry and evolved. Never taken for granted.
