Francesco Versio, young talent Barbaresco

The winery was founded in 2012 when Francesco Versio began making his own wine from the grapes grown on two plots of old vines on the small estate he inherited from his grandfather, located in the San Cristoforo and Currà crus in the municipality of Naive in Barbaresco.

The young and enterprising Francesco, just over 30 years old, after having studied at the Alba oenological school and then graduated in viticulture and oenology, began working as a cellarman in Bruno Giacosa's company and, under the guidance of oenologist Dante Scaglione, had the opportunity to learn all the secrets of Barbaresco winemaking.

The first vintages were very promising and bode well for the future of the company.
