JUSTIN BOXLER
Domaine Justin Boxler started in 1672 is an Alsatian winery that was founded by the Boxler family, originally from Switzerland. It is located in Niedermorschwihr, the heart of the Alsace vineyards, where family generations follow one another. The 1950s marked a turning point for the company thanks to Justin, who began marketing the wines that had until then been sold in barrels.
Between 1980 and 1990, Justin's children, Pierre and Anne, joined the estate and gave it a new lease of life: the development of the vineyard, cultivation practices and marketing. Today, the company has a total of 12 hectares of vineyards spread between the villages of Niedermorschwihr, Turckheim, Katzenthal and Ingerheim and four Grands Crus vineyards.
The latest new addition to the winery is Florent, son of Anne and Richard, who joined the estate in 2015 after completing his studies in viticulture and oenology and an apprenticeship focused on biodynamic farming. The Boxler family passes on its knowledge, values and great love for the land from generation to generation: solid values in terms of both respect for terroir and the environment through the necessary practice of sustainable viticulture.
