La Crotta di Vegneron is a social winery that was founded in 1980 by about 25 members with the aim of enhancing the characteristics of the terroir of the Aosta Valley and more specifically of the area of Chambave and Nus. A project that immediately focused on the valorisation of autochthonous vines such as petit rouge, fumin, white muscat and pinot grigio. The winemaking is also respectful of a terroir with a thousand variations, ensuring that the wines express their territory in a completely autonomous manner.

Today the winery has expanded to include more than seventy members, producing around 200,000 bottles a year, but what has remained unchanged is the spirit and attention that distinguishes all the wines of the cooperative, which is certainly one of the most interesting realities in Italy, especially when it comes to heroic viticulture. The vines grow at an altitude of between 500 and 850 metres above sea level, where they enjoy a very favourable mild microclimate and considerable temperature variations between day and night, which give the wines great elegance.

In the cellar, each production step is followed with the utmost attention, thus creating a complete and very high level range of labels, from single-variety to selections, from passito to sparkling wines, including grappas: the wines of Chambave are among the best in the Aosta Valley and beyond.
