LA MAISON ROMANE
Maison Romane is a small winery located in Vosne-Romanée, in the heart of Burgundy, which owes its birth to Oronce de Beler's passion for Pinot Noir.
After living in Paris, in 2004 Oronce decided to move to the vineyards he loves so much to realize his dream of making wine. Thus began a journey made up of training in oenology, harvest experiences in local wineries, and even work in the vineyards with horses.
In 2005, Oronce bought his first grapes and the first labels of Maison Romane were born. From the beginning, the philosophy was to intervene as little as possible in the winery, with the utmost respect for the raw material and the different terroirs.
Today Maison Romane has moved to Nuits-Saint-Georges, to a more spacious cellar that allows it to expand production. The supply vineyards are located between Vosne-Romanée, Chambolle-Musigny and the other major communes of the Côte de Nuits, all of which have limestone soils ideal for Pinot Noir.
The grapes come from vineyards conducted with sustainable and organic methods. After rigorous manual selection, they are vinified purely with minimal additions of sulfur, only spontaneous fermentation and maturation in used oak barrels. The wines faithfully reflect the soul of the different terroirs from which they come.
