LALU
LaLù Winery
Lara and Luisa, true wine lovers, met at university and embarked on a dream: to produce their own wine. Without farming roots but with great passion and audacity, they founded their Lalù winery in Serralunga d'Alba in 2019.
After numerous experiences both in Langhe and abroad, they planted their first Nebbiolo vines in 2015 in La Morra and Monforte d'Alba. Today they own 3.5 hectares, demonstrating a profound love and respect for the land, adopting organic practices to preserve its natural rhythm. Their vision involves interpreting each harvest with sensitivity, ensuring minimal interference during winemaking to preserve the integrity of the raw material. Lara and Luisa represent a new generation of female winemakers, bravely challenging enological stereotypes.
Their journey from city to countryside echoes the footsteps of those before them, in search of the purest expression of Piedmontese viticulture. With degrees in Gastronomic Sciences from the University of Pollenzo, their growing interest in wine during their studies led them to visit numerous Langhe producers, discovering a deep connection with vineyard work and the essence of the land. Their friendship has evolved into a lasting partnership, fueling their shared dream.
Today, Lara and Luisa vinify the Langhe's three main red grape varieties: Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Dolcetto. Their cellar is located in Serralunga, while their vineyards span La Morra and Monforte d'Alba, embodying a commitment to creating wines that reflect the terroir and tradition of the Langhe, enriched by their innovative spirit.
