Domaine Laurent Tribut, the class of great Chablis

Domaine Laurent Tribut is located in Poinchy, just outside Chablis; it was founded when Laurent married Marie Clotilde, sister of the famous Vincent Dauvissat one of the two most important names in Chablis oenology.

At the beginning of his career as a winemaker, Laurent was able to study and make wine in Sauvissat's cellar, learning its practices and secrets, and then founded his own Domaine at the end of the 1980s in Poinchy.

Today, the Domaine can count on 7 hectares of vineyards including three important and prestigious Premier Crus, such as Beauroy, Côte de Léchet and Montmains. Laurent personally takes care of all the activities, from the vineyard to the cellar, with the help of his children (Solange is becoming more and more of a protagonist) and his wife, who takes care of the marketing of the Domaine's Chablis wines.

Following the teachings of Dauvissat, in the vineyard all practices are carried out by hand without the help of chemical products, after manual harvesting the grapes are fermented in steel tanks and the wine produced is aged in small old barrels, where malolactic fermentation also takes place.

The wines of Laurent Tribut are one of the most classic and elegant expressions of the Chablis terroir, very long-lived, both the Village and the Premier Cru can rest in the cellar for many years, reaching a very high level of quality.
