LEROY SA
Leroy SA Negoce, or Maison Leroy, was founded in 1868 by François LEROY, great-grandfather of the current co-owner Lalou BIZE-LEROY, who joined the company in 1955 and in 1971 became president and general manager.
Thanks to her passion, his tenacity, but above all the expertise gained with the countless tastings, he researched and managed to understand all the essential characteristics of each Terroir and Cru of Burgundy.
In these grapes she is looking for the best but as always says: the best ones are yet to be discovered.
Every week he went with his father, Henry Leroy, to the Domaine de la Romanee Conti, of which he became in 1992 co-gerente and in that period he distributed the wines.
In 1988, Takashimaya, Japan's distributor of the Maison's wines, joined the company with 1/3 of the shares, thanks to the entrance of the new capitals the vineyards of the current Domaine Leroy were purchased.
