PODERI BOSCARELLI
Poderi Boscarelli, deep and enduring wines from Tuscany
Poderi Boscarelli is a Tuscan winery, in Cervognano, an area particularly suited to the production of Montepulciano, run by the De Ferrari family. Paola, daughter of the founder Egidio Corradi, who bought the estate in 1962, manages the administrative side, while her sons Nicolò and Luca take care of the wine production.
The vineyards are managed with extreme care and attention, in order to obtain the highest quality of grapes whose age is about 20-25 years, with some reaching 40, and rest on mainly alluvial soils with the presence of sediment, although there are also red and sandier parts. The winery's philosophy is based on the fusion of tradition and modernity for the production of structured and powerful wines, suitable for long ageing.
Fermentation takes place mainly in truncated conical wooden vats, with long macerations; wood of various sizes is used for ageing, with a low percentage of new wood. The result is wines of the highest level, suitable for ageing and endowed with incredible aromatic complexity.
