POINTILLART LEROY
The history of the Maison Pointillart-Leroy, begins in the late 19th century by the great-grandparents of the current regent Juliette. As is often the case in France, the Maison was born of the union of two families the Pointillarts and the Leroys.
The Maison boasts 5 hectares of property divided into 22 parcels in the heart of the Reims mountains located in three communes: Écueil, Chamery and Vrigny.
Pinot noir represents the most important part of the cultivation, but there is no shortage of Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier.
Juliette Pointillart, the current regent, is a very talented winemaker and is fortunate to have all of the vineyards ranked premier cru, both Chardonnay and Pinot noir and Pinot Meunier.
The soils of the three communities range from sandy layers to layers of pure chalk and thus bring great diversity to the wines, which always turn out with excellent personality. The winery is still family-run.
