Prieuré Roch, organic wines from Burgundy

Prieuré Roch is a small domaine located in Burgundy's Côte de Nuits, specifically in Nuits-Saint-Georges. Until 2000, the famous oenologist Philippe Pacalet made the wines in the Domaine, but today it is Henry-Frédéric Roch, the owner of the estate and also co-owner of the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, who manages the estate's vineyards spread over 14 hectares of vines where only the pinot noir grape is grown in various communes in the Village, Premier Cru and Grand Cru appellations.

In the commune of Gevrey-Chambertin, Prieuré Roch owns about one hectare of the oldest cru in Burgundy: the mythical "Clos-de-Bèze". In Vougeot, he is one of the 24 owners of the famous Grand Cru "Clos de Vougeot" while in the surroundings of Vosne-Romanée he has the plots "Les Suchots" (Premier Cru), "Les Hautes-Maizières", "Le Pré La Folie" and "La Colombière" (from which he obtains "Village" wines) and the single vineyard "La Goillotte".

Finally, near Nuits-Saint-Georges, the Domaine owns the Premier Cru "Clos des Corvées". The production philosophy follows the principles of organic farming, with a reduced use of chemicals both in the vineyard and in the cellar and human intervention reduced to a minimum, letting nature do its work to give life to authentic and territorial wines.
