SALMON

Maison Salmon is a 10-hectare vineyard located in Chaumuzy. Alexandre Salmon runs the estate today and dedicates his work almost entirely to the production of Champagne from Pinot Meunier, according to a business philosophy that fuses tradition and the transmission of ancient knowledge, with an eye always on study and innovation.

It was Alexandre's grandfather, Michael, who founded the company: born in Chaumuzy and having worked in the vineyards from an early age, he patiently combined different plots. In 1958, he produced the first 500 bottles of Salmon champagne and is still the best at telling his story and his passion to customers.

In addition to Alexandre and Michael, Olivier, the latter's son and Alexandre's father, is also part of the team, with whom he studied for a long time and started to apply or principles of sustainable agriculture in the early days, before it became fashionable.

Maison Salmon's main objective is to ensure that their Champagnes authentically and precisely express the qualities of terroir. 85% of their 10-hectare estate is planted with this vine of which they have developed considerable know-how over the years.
