SELOSSE

Jacques Selosse Champagne Grandi BottiglieJacques Selosse, Champagne Myth

Jacques Selosse and Champagne are words that together mean excellence. Selosse is a myth of French bubbles, an absolute point of reference for the French Champagne wine area.

Jacques Selosse and his son Anselme Selosse began making their own grapes in 1974, when the production of Champagne was monopolized by a few great Maison, giving an important qualitative turn and becoming a reference model for all the small independent Champagne vignerons.

The Selosse Champagne winery is based in Avize, a Grand Cru commune for the Chardonnay, but with time Anselme, which already had four hectares of formidable material in Côte de Blancs, acquired other vineyards of about one hectare each: Chardonnay a Cramant and Mesnil-sur-Oger, Pinot Noir in Verzenay, Ambonnay, Ay and Mareuil sur Ay, the only municipality among these to be Premier Cru, but with a 99% classification.

The vines are cultivated in a natural way and respectful of the environment, without the use of synthetic chemicals, with very low pruning and reduced yields giving life to natural wines such as the Selosse Champagne. In the cellar fermentations take place with only indigenous yeasts and the "liqueur d 'expedition" consists of pure pure fructose of grapes.

The annual production is around 57 thousand bottles of Selosse Champagne: all indistinctly Champagne of rare charm, endowed with great cleanliness and intriguing originality, in which to go in search of aromas and flavors that have endless colored shades.
