TRAMIN
Tramin, i migliori vini dell'Alto Adige
Tramin is one of the most historic and renowned wineries in South Tyrol. Its origins date back to 1898, thanks to parish priest Christian Schrott. Today the winery comprises 260 hectares of vineyards located around the town of Tramin, which enjoys a particularly suitable terroir consisting of a mild Mediterranean microclimate and considerable temperature variations, on a variety of soils ranging from limestone to rocky soils rich in porphyry.
A quarter of the vineyards are dedicated to the production of Gewurztraminer, the main grape variety of the Termeno area, which expresses itself here with great elegance and intensity. The company philosophy is based on the concept of environmental sustainability, whereby the vineyards are cultivated according to organic and biodynamic farming principles. In addition to this, the winery is dedicated to constant research and innovation: the modern wine cellar, inaugurated in 2010, was built by architect Werner Tscholl and immediately established itself as one of the most revealing contemporary architectures in the area.
The Tramin range boasts a rich variety of wines of the highest quality, not only in the production of aromatic whites, but also for red wines from the simplest to the most structured. Bottles considered among the best expressions of the region, known and appreciated throughout the world.
