VINCENT JEAN-MARC
Anne-Marie e Jean-Marc Vincent, great wines from Burgundy
Anne-Marie and Jean-Marc Vincent inherited most of their vineyards from Jean-Marc's grandfather, André Bardollet-Bravard, located mainly in and around the village of Santenay in the southern Côte de Beaune. They produce three red and two white premier crus from Santenay, as well as a red and a white Auxey-Duresses.
Vincent wines are characterised by rich, layered fruit, an intense expression of individual terroir and a solid structure. The Vincent wine business is a family affair and A-M and J-M divide their time between the vineyards, the cellars and their young sons. Their tiny production always sells quickly to a small group of devoted customers.
All their wines are a testament to the importance of the vigneron's talent in a given appellation. While a great vigneron can produce superior wines from any appellation, a great appellation will never be great in the hands of mediocrity.
