WHITE OAK DISTILLERY

White Oak Distillery, whisky pregiati del Giappone

White Oak is a Japanese distillery located in the city of Akashi and is now owned by Eigashima. An interesting aspect is that it was the first company to obtain (in 1919) a licence to produce spirits, and therefore the first whisky producer in Japan.

It is characterised by strictly traditional production and, until 1984, its products were marketed exclusively within Japan. Only later, following a major restructuring and the addition of space dedicated exclusively to whisky production, did the bottles begin to be distributed outside Japan.

Today, the White Oak Distillery is characterised by niche production, with the decision to reduce quantities to ensure the highest quality of its products.
