Renosu Rosso Dettori
Renosu Rosso is a red wine from Sardinia produced by Dettori using natural methods. To be honest, Alessandro Dettori does not like to talk about natural wine, a definition that is becoming more of a fashion than a real philosophy, and gives more importance to the concept of natural winemaker: he who chooses to make wine respecting nature and therefore without the use of chemicals, cultivating and using only his own grapes, must be a worthy representative of the local culture.
This wine is made from a blend of red grapes from the region, from trees that are about 100 years old and grow at an altitude of 300 metres on calcareous soil. After destemming, the must ferments spontaneously with only indigenous yeasts with maceration on the skins for a period of 3 to 10 days. The wine is then left to age in the same containers for two or three months up to two or three years.
To the eye this Renosu has an intense ruby red colour. The nose is strongly territorial with aromas of ripe myrtle and Mediterranean scrub. The aromatic herbs are accompanied by notes of spices and red fruits such as plum, hazelnut, liquorice and citrus. The taste is rich and soft, with good minerality and good persistence.
