Ried Loibenberg Riesling Smaragd 2019 Alzinger
Ried Loibenberg Riesling Smaragd 2019 is an Austrian white wine produced by the Alzinger winery. The 100% Riesling grapes from which it is made grow on the south-facing terraces of Loibenberg, which are exposed to the sun all day and are considered the warmest in the Wachau. Between the first terraces at the foot of the slope and the last ones at the top there is an altitude of 200 metres. In addition, many of the vineyards lie in the shade of protective forests. The ditches then open up towards the north, whose air allows the climate to cool considerably, especially at night. Riesling grows on arid, shallow soils that favour a more slender and less dense style, and this wine perfectly reflects the terroir with its characteristics of concentration and elegance at the same time. The nose offers a complex aromatic profile of lime, ripe vineyard peach, white tropical fruit and mineral notes. The sip is juicy and sweet with a rich structure of finesse, hints of ripe peach and a touch of lemon on the finish.
