Riesling Marienburg GG 2019 Clemens Busch
Clemens Busch is a reference in the field of biodynamic wines in Mosel, Germany. In order to emphasize the diversity of soils and microclimates of the area, he vinifies and bottles his wines according to the names of the original vineyards. This is the case of this white wine made from 100% Riesling grapes from the approximately 30 years old plants of the Marienburg vineyard, facing south on grey slate soils, one of the most important crus of the whole region.
Here the vines are located on very steep slopes and are worked according to biodynamic viticulture criteria. After a soft pressing and a slight oxidation of the must, the alcoholic fermentation is carried out spontaneously with indigenous yeasts in large oak barrels, followed by 10 months of aging in large 10-hectoliter barrels.
This wine is an elegant and extraordinary expression of Riesling from Mosel, a white wine which conquers for its intense aromatic bouquet composed by citrus, yellow and tropical fruits (lime, kiwi, grapefruit), herbaceous and mineral notes, for a medium-bodied sip and incredible freshness and sapidity.
