Riesling Grand Cru Sommergerg 2016 Justin Boxler
The Riesling Sommerberg Grand Cru 2016 is a fine Alsace wine whose 100% Riesling grapes come from a 40-year-old vineyard plot located on a hill overlooking the town of Niedermorschwihr. All the skill and passion of winemaker Justin Boxler, heir to a historic winery, seeps into this wine with a strong terroir identity.
Harvesting is strictly carried out by hand to prevent the grapes from spoiling and to select the best fruit, alcoholic fermentation and ageing are carried out in old barrels. The Riesling Sommerberg Grand Cru 2016 is an expressive and mineral wine, characterised by a very bright straw-yellow colour.
The nose offers hints of yellow fruits, citrus fruits, honey and mineral salts, for an extremely fresh and elegant sip with a savoury finish.
