Riesling Trocken Wintrich Ohligsberg GG 2017 is a white wine from Mosel, Germany, produced by Weingut Molitor-Rosenkreuz. It is made from 100% Riesling grapes that come from vineyards between 50 and 100 years old. 'Riesling Trocken' means that it is a dry wine, while 'GG' stands for Großes Gewächs and corresponds to what in France is the Grand Cru, thus representing the top quality of German wine.
One cannot speak of 100% natural wine, because a minimum of helicopter treatment is required by the consortium in the area, as the slopes where the vineyards are located are so steep that it is very difficult for the producers to reach them. In spite of this, Molitor produces its wine in the most careful and sustainable way: fermentation is spontaneous with indigenous yeasts and is carried out in stainless steel tanks, where it remains to refine before being bottled and remaining in the bottle for an extended period.
