Roero Arneis 2021 Bruno Giacosa
Roero Arneis 2021 is a fine white wine produced by Bruno Giacosa. It is made from pure Arneis grapes, from vines that are not Giacosa's property but come from carefully selected historical contributors.
Bruno Giacosa's hand can be seen in the great refinement and particular olfactory spectrum offered by this Arneis, a grape variety that is often not properly considered. The white grape protagonist of the Roero, it is also called 'the white Nebbiolo' due to its similarity with the red grape.
The terroir on which it grows, composed mainly of sandstone and marl, gives the wine great minerality and flavour. Spontaneous fermentation and maturation take place in steel to preserve the freshness and original characteristics of the grapes.
Bruno Giacosa's Roero Arneis 2021 has an intense straw yellow colour. The nose offers refined notes of fruit, mineral salts, white flowers and officinal herbs. The sip is fresh and savoury, at the same time rich, with a slightly almondy finish. One of the few white wines produced by Bruno Giacosa, a bottle that wins you over with its great freshness and elegance.
