Red 2016 Miani
Rosso 2016 is a fine wine produced by Miani. This Fiuliano red wine comes from the small town of Buttrio in the Colli Orientali del Friuli area, an area particularly famous for the production of white wines. But the famous Friulian ponca of which the soil is composed is able to make a refined mineral imprint also on red grapes, so that even this can faithfully represent the terroir of the Colli Orientali. Miani Rosso 2016 is obtained from an assembly of native and international red berried grape varieties: Merlot, Refosco, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Since 2000, Enzo Pontoni has decided to vinify the different vines separately, as in the case of this bottle whose fermentation of the various components are carried out separately in French oak vats and then assembled. The refinement then takes place in French oak barrels and lasts about 24 months. Rosso 2016 Miani shows a bright ruby red color; the nose is intense with aromas of ripe red fruit, pepper, dried flowers and a hint of vanilla. In the mouth it is full-bodied and well balanced between softness and freshness, with a long finish.
