Rosso "Piede Franco" 2019 Calabretta
Rosso "Piede Franco" 2019 is a natural red wine produced by Calabretta. It is made from red grapes from young vines from the Etna area planted free-range on a volcanic soil composed of stones and sand.
The company cultivates with passion and according to traditional methods grapes native to the Etna area on small terraces with dry stone walls, growing on volcanic soil rich in minerals. Fermentation takes place spontaneously with indigenous yeasts and a 5-day maceration on the skins.
Calabretta's Rosso Piede Franco has an intense garnet red colour in the glass, while on the nose it expresses a complex and delicious bouquet made up of small red berries, notes of liquorice, spices, hints of undergrowth, aromatic and balsamic herbs. The taste is deep and austere but very elegant, with delicate tannins. The finish is persistent, closing with a savoury note.
